I haven't felt my inner critic at Possible, because I genuinely believe I belong here.

BUT, that makes me realize.. when I am self-critical is when I don't believe that. Maybe the shift I need to have in other situations is TELLING myself I belong.

^^ironically, my inner critic is popping up telling me not to share this 😆 "what you just said isn't insightful enough to share"
So jk, take that back, I HAVE felt my inner critic at Possible 🤪

In a way, after noticing the critic, when you consciously become kinder to yourself, you’re reprograming the habit of what you do when that inner critic is present. You’re trying to replace any potential rumination that you would experience from letting that critic be present by stopping it and trying to keep your mind in a good spot.

I try to live by the concept that your beginnings don’t have resemblance to your end products. Give yourself the grace to make mistakes and fumble because that’s what gets you to the finish line

Something I've also found that helps me combat my critic is having another inner figure, one who kindly questions why I'm having these doubts and reassures me that it's going to be okay. For me, she's like an "Internal Mother" figure.

for affirmations, i think its important to acknowledge how you feel, but dont cater to it. emotions are fleeting and what helps in the moment might not necessarily help 10 minutes later. u dont need to force power poses but just remind yourself that what youre saying is important, has value, and that it needs to be heard. that usually gets me more calm

One method I’m going to use, whenever the critic pops up, is imaging myself articulating what the critic is saying to someone important. You’re breaking down the rationality, and when you’re trying to articulate it, I feel that it’ll help make you realize that it isn’t something as powerful as you think it is and help weaken it, but also make you snap out it sooner:
